About

Sarah is a Scientist at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT in the Multifunctional Landscapes team. She is a mathematician and geographer by training, with a PhD on sustainably managing ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes. Sarah works to co-develop knowledge with multi-disciplinary researchers and practitioners on how to reconcile trade-offs and shift behaviours to achieve sustainable agrifood systems, through scaling agroecological and regenerative farming practices, integrative land use planning, and shifting diets.  She is part of the Secretariat for the Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land use and Energy (FABLE) network of food system modelers and is the Alliance scientific lead on the IKI BioFinCas, European Commission MoSAFs, FAO Global Roadmap and CGIAR Multifunctional Landscape Evidence Assessment projects all focused on finding and supporting policymakers and producers to transition to agrifood system pathways that reconcile trade-offs between food, biodiversity, climate and socio-economic outcomes.
