Simon Omondi, PhD

Simon is the Director of the KALRO Industrial Crops Research Institute and a Chief Research Scientist at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization, where he has served since 1990. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Value Chains from Kenyatta University and an MSc in Agricultural Value Chain Management from Van Hall Larenstein University in the Netherlands. His work focuses on social inclusion, policy, and food systems research, and he has contributed to numerous donor-funded agricultural projects and publications across Kenya and the East African region.
