Ms. Vanity Motlapele Mafule-Pilane is the Acting Deputy Director of Food Relief Services and Education in Botswana, responsible for coordinating the national Supplementary Feeding Programme, which includes the Primary School Feeding and Vulnerable Groups Feeding Programmes. Since 2011, she has championed the implementation of Home Grown School Feeding Programmes (HGSFP), working with partners such as AUDA-NEPAD, PCD, and GCNF to strengthen school feeding practices, review menus, and develop guidelines. She is also the National Project Coordinator for the Inclusion of Fish Farming in HGSFP in nine schools at Kgatleng East Constituency, funded by FAO, promoting innovative approaches to school feeding and nutrition and empowerment of local fish suppliers.
